The crushing mechanism of impact crusher

The impact crusher uses the impact principle to achieve selective crushing of materials during work. Its product has good grain shape and few needles. It is often used for the final crushing of roadbeds and roads with high aggregate requirements. It can also be used for building materials, mines, and fine crushing operations in the metallurgical industry. When working, the impact crusher has the following processes to crush materials:

1. free crushing

The material entering the crushing cavity of impact crusher. It will quickly be impacted by the hammer on the high-speed rotating rotor. In addition, it will also be subjected to the interaction between the materials. These forces make the material in the crushing cavity crushed.

2. rebound crushing

The material being crushed is not actually scattered indefinitely, but is concentrated in the crushing cavity. Due to the action of the hammer on the high-speed rotating rotor, the material obtains a high moving speed, and then hits the frame. The frame acts on the material with the same magnitude and opposite force to further crush the material. The crushing effect is also called rebound crushing.

3. shearing crushing

Shearing crushing is the material larger than the size of the discharge opening that has not been crushed by free crushing and rebound crushing, and it is sheared and crushed by a high-speed rotating hammer at the discharge opening.

Among the three crushing methods, the free crushing and rebound crushing of the material in the crushing cavity indicate that the hammer head impacts the material in the working principle of the impact crusher and the material with huge kinetic energy is further impacted by the impact plate and the material. Shearing crushing is not a specific form of selective crushing of materials by impact crusher, but a product of specific structural forms.
